I’ve been photographing Terrie and Isaac since their engagement shoot on Mill Avenue in Tempe, AZ a couple years ago. Scheduling conflicts prevented me from following them to Las Vegas for their wedding, so I was VERY excited to be invited into their home in Phoenix, AZ to meet their BRAND NEW daughter, Amelia. We planned our shoot for Father’s Day weekend since Amelia’s grandparents were already planning a drive down from Camp Verde.

We decided to spend this Saturday morning indoors to beat the June heat. I have to commend my clients for always being willing to wake up early in the summer to knock out a fun photo session before the afternoon sun melts us into the pavement. 

Here are a few photos from the session! You’ll notice we couldn’t possibly leave out their first born, Trigger. He followed us from room to room like an anxious big brother.

It’s always exciting for me to meet a new family. Throw a dog into the mix and you have yourself one happy photographer. 

Lindsey and Nathan were referred to me by my long-time clients, Laura and Chris. Lindsey and Nathan were celebrating their daughter Aster’s first birthday so we took the whole band to El Prado Park in South Phoenix. Phoenix summers in June are notoriously insufferable so the morning started quite early. Lucky for us, Aster already seems to be a morning person and for her, it’s never too early for a little music! 

It’s been a surprisingly busy “slow season” for me. Keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming weddings and a few personal travel posts. Let’s keep the momentum up and finish out the year the same way!
